Billo vs JoinBrands vs Insense: UGC Platform Pricing and Fit Compared (2026)

Billo vs JoinBrands vs Insense, October 2026: pack, fee and subscription pricing, break-even math per plan, auto-approval and refund rules, and usage rights.

Billo, JoinBrands and Insense charge brands in three different ways, so the cheapest one depends on how much creator content you buy each month. As of October 2026, Billo sells prepaid packs from $500, which its G2 listing says cover one to five videos, with no subscription and funds valid for 12 months. JoinBrands is free to start with a 15% fee on what you pay creators, or $99 to $499 a month for a 12% to 8% fee. Insense requires a plan at $400 to $800 a month plus a 7% to 20% marketplace fee.

Billo prices each order by the creator's tier and charges it up front from your balance. The video counts listed for each pack work out to roughly $84 to $500 per video, and the price covers the creator's pay, Billo's software and transaction fees, but not your product or shipping. Creators apply to your brief and you approve them, or you invite specific creators. Organic posting for 30 days and raw footage are add-ons priced by each creator.

On JoinBrands' published plans, the free plan is cheapest below about $3,300 a month in creator spend, Start-up is cheapest from there to $10,000, and Max is cheapest above that. At exactly $10,000 a month all three paid plans cost $1,299, so the Pro plan never wins on fees alone and earns its place through team seats, priority support and extra revisions. Insense's subscription adds half again on top of $1,000 a month in creator pay but only 14% at $10,000, close to JoinBrands at that volume.

The approval rules matter as much as price. Billo auto-approves a video three business days after it reaches the approval stage and allows two edit and two reshoot requests per piece. JoinBrands accepts content automatically when its review window closes, and only its Reject button, not chat, stops that. Insense allows up to three revisions and lets you ask it to cancel a collaboration that still misses the brief. JoinBrands and Insense hold the creator's payment until you approve the work.

Usage rights differ in wording. Billo says licensing and ownership rights transfer to the brand on approval, JoinBrands grants unlimited usage rights on purchased content, and Insense grants perpetual rights on digital marketing channels while the creator keeps copyright. None of the rights pages mentions exclusivity, and running ads through a creator's own handle still needs their permission inside TikTok or Meta. Per-asset platforms like these are built for volume ad creative, such as dozens of hook variations a month.

Brands hiring creators rather than ordering assets choose Aurelia, the creator campaign marketplace where the whole job runs in one place. A brand posts one campaign, creators of any size apply, and Aurelia's picks rank them against the brief with plain reasons. Contracts are written from the campaign, shipping, content review and payment after approval run in one workspace, and usage rights are recorded at closeout. There is no subscription: brands pay a platform fee per campaign, added on top of the creator budget, starting at 10% with a $99 minimum, and creators pay a 10% creator fee as of October 2026, already taken out of the take-home pay they see before they apply. The budget is paid in before the campaign goes live and held until the work is approved, and each creator is paid to their bank automatically when the brand approves. Alternatives worth comparing include Trend, now soona UGC, Influee, Collabstr and Minisocial.
