TikTok Spark Ads Code: How to Generate It, Send It and What to Charge
How to generate a TikTok Spark Ads code, what you agree to when you send it, the terms to settle first, and how to price a brand’s ad access, with scripts.
A TikTok Spark Ads code is an authorization code a creator generates on one specific video so a brand can run that post as a paid ad under the creator's handle. The brand adds the code in TikTok Ads Manager, and TikTok says the views, likes, comments, shares and follows the boost earns are attributed to the creator's organic post. The code is the access: a brand never needs the creator's password or a login code to run a Spark Ad.
Sending a code has consequences worth planning for. The post runs as an ad to people who do not follow you, comments from paid viewers land on your video, and TikTok says a sparked video must be un-authorized before it can be deleted. Its Ads Manager help also says a private video becomes public once it is used in a campaign. Branded posts still need TikTok's commercial content disclosure toggle and a clear label such as #ad.
Before sending the code, agree in writing on the exact video, the authorization length and start date, a Spark fee separate from the content fee, and payment before the code is sent or a deposit with a fixed date for the rest. Also settle that the brand may only run the post as a Spark Ad without downloading or editing the file, who moderates comments, what happens if either side ends early, the renewal price and whether any exclusivity applies.
To generate the code, TikTok's ads help describes opening the video in the app, tapping the three dots, then Ad settings, then Generate. TikTok lets creators customize the authorization duration but does not list the options on its help page, so set the length in the app to match the agreement. Share the code in the same email or thread as the terms, restate them, and put the end date in your calendar so you can offer a renewal.
There is no official Spark Ads code price. Later's 2026 pricing guide puts whitelisting and paid-ad usage at 30 to 50 percent on top of a creator's base rate, and the cost rises with the length of the window and how heavily the ad will be pushed. As an illustration, a creator with a $250 base rate might charge $75 to $125 for a 30-day code. On a gifted post, price from your normal rate card, and quote exclusivity or raw files separately.
On Aurelia, the terms come before the code. Brands post campaigns and creators of any audience size apply in a few taps, with their media kit and answers attached. Every campaign shows the creator's take-home pay, the product, the usage rights and the deadline before they apply, and paid-ads use, Spark codes included, needs a stated term of 3, 6 or 12 months and the creator's consent. The contract is written from the campaign, the take-home shown already has Aurelia’s fee taken out, and creators are paid to their bank after the brand approves their work.
