Amazon Influencer Program: Requirements, Pay and Is It Worth It vs Amazon Associates
Amazon Influencer Program requirements, commission rates by category, payment schedule, onsite commissions and Creator Connections, checked October 2026.
The Amazon Influencer Program is Amazon’s affiliate program for social media creators. Members get a storefront on Amazon at their own address, fill it with Idea Lists, shoppable photos and videos, and earn a commission on qualifying purchases. As of October 2026 you apply with a TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest or Facebook account. Amazon publishes no follower minimum: it says it evaluates content quality, engagement rate and follower count, and it encourages creators who are not accepted to reapply later. Instagram applicants need a public Business or Creator account, and Facebook applicants need a business account with a live page.
Amazon’s US rate card, checked October 10, 2026, pays 10% on Luxury Beauty, 4.5% on kitchen, books and automotive, 4% on apparel, shoes and jewelry, 3% on home, beauty, toys, pets and sports, and 1% on grocery and health and personal care. On a $30 item that is $0.30 to $3.00 a sale. A shopper has 24 hours after clicking your link, returns are deducted, and purchases by you, friends or family do not count. Amazon pays about 60 days after the end of the month, with a $10 minimum for direct deposit or gift card and $100 for a check.
Amazon can show your storefront content to shoppers on product pages, in search results and on its homepage, and pays an onsite rate when a shopper clicks it and buys. Its help page says videos become eligible for product pages once 10 have passed moderation and you have completed sign-up for onsite commissions. Since April 14, 2026, onsite commission applies only to direct purchases of the same product variant as the page your content is linked to, so focused demos of one product work best. Amazon lists onsite rates inside Associates Central, not on a public page.
The Influencer Program is an extension of Amazon Associates. Both use the same commission rates, the same 24-hour tracking window and the same payment schedule. Amazon reviews an Associates application after at least three qualified sales in the first 180 days, and since April 30, 2026, Associates who have made three sales in 180 days can create a storefront with the same features. Onsite commissions, Amazon Live, Creator Ads and the Creator Stars tiers remain tied to the Influencer Program. Amazon Vine is different again: an invitation-only program that sends reviewers free products and pays nothing.
Creator Connections is Amazon’s marketplace service that connects brands selling on Amazon with creators. Affiliate+ campaigns pay a bonus commission on top of the standard rate and open at the Bronze tier of Creator Stars, which takes at least $1 in shipped revenue or 100 link clicks in a quarter. Sponsored Products for Creators, launched February 23, 2026, pays per qualifying click and needs the Gold tier, which takes 250 points. Because clicks are capped at 49 points a quarter, Gold means at least $20,100 of shipped sales in a quarter. Amazon does not publish campaign rates.
Commission pays only after a shopper buys, about two months later. A flat-fee brand campaign pays for the video itself. On Aurelia, brands post campaigns and creators apply in a few taps with their media kit attached. Every campaign shows your take-home pay, with Aurelia’s fee already taken out, plus the product, the usage rights and the deadline before you apply. Aurelia sets no follower minimum, content-only campaigns need no posting audience, the contract is written from the campaign, and you’re paid to your bank automatically when the brand approves your work. Amazon’s Influencer Program Policy covers creators who are also paid by brands and tells them to disclose it.
