How to Make Money on Facebook as a Creator (Monetization Requirements and Brand Deals)

How to make money on Facebook in 2026: Content Monetization, Stars and Subscriptions requirements, what Facebook pays for views, and how to get brand deals.

To make money on Facebook as a creator in 2026, turn on professional mode or run a Page, then combine Meta’s own tools with income from brands. As of October 2026, Facebook Content Monetization is invite-only, Stars need 500 followers held for 30 consecutive days, and Subscriptions need a Page with 10,000 followers or 250 return viewers plus 50,000 post engagements or 180,000 watch minutes in the last 60 days. Brand deals, UGC and affiliate partnerships need no invitation, and Meta publishes no follower minimum for branded content.

Facebook Content Monetization pays on how public Reels, photos, text posts and stories perform. Meta’s program page lists no follower or view threshold, says invitations go out periodically and plans open enrollment in the near future. The 5,000-follower and 60,000-minute figures in older guides are the In-stream ads thresholds, a program Meta said Content Monetization would replace. Under the program terms, Meta pays within about 30 days after the end of each month, with a $25 minimum in the US and $100 elsewhere, and payout setup must be finished within six months.

Facebook does not pay a fixed rate per view. Meta says the rate varies with factors like region and content quality, and only qualified views can earn. Since March 2026, creators in the program see qualified views, an earnings rate per 1,000 qualified views and a breakdown of non-qualified views, so earnings equal qualified views divided by 1,000, times that rate. Meta says Facebook paid creators nearly $3 billion in 2025, up 35% on the year before, with 60% of payouts going to Reels.

Creator Fast Track, launched March 18, 2026, is the quickest route into Content Monetization for creators arriving from other apps. It is open in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia to adults with a Facebook Page and at least 20,000 followers and 30,000 video views in 60 days on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, who have not posted a Facebook Reel in the past six months. It pays $100 to $450 a month below 100,000 followers, $1,000 a month from 100,000 followers and $3,000 a month from one million, for three months, in return for 15 eligible Reels a month.

Brand deals on Facebook need a Page or a profile in professional mode, public content and the Paid Partnership label. Meta asks for an authentic, established presence and names no follower number. Meta’s Creator Marketing Hub launched on September 15, 2026 and Meta said it was onboarding Facebook creators, but as of October 10, 2026 its help page still limits the feature to Instagram business and creator accounts. No major 2026 rate guide publishes Facebook rates; Later’s cross-platform baseline runs from $100 to $500 a post for 1K to 10K followers and $500 to $2,500 for 10K to 100K followers.

Aurelia makes brand income easier for Facebook creators. Brands post campaigns and creators apply in a few taps, with their media kit, stats and answers attached. There is no follower minimum, applicants are ranked by fit with the brief, and content-only UGC campaigns need no posting audience. Every campaign shows your take-home pay, with Aurelia’s fee already taken out, plus the product, the usage rights and the deadline before you apply. The agreement is written from the campaign, the brand’s budget is paid in before a campaign goes live and held until work is approved, and you’re paid to your bank automatically when the brand approves your work.
