Is This a Good Brand Deal? How to Evaluate Any Offer in 5 Minutes

Is this a good brand deal? Work out pay per asset and per hour, then score usage, exclusivity, revisions and payment terms. Calculator, examples, scripts.

Is this a good brand deal? Start with two numbers. Pay per asset is the cash divided by every finished video, post, photo set, hook version or raw file you hand over. Effective hourly rate is the cash divided by your real hours, from reading the brief to delivery, run a second time with every included revision round used. Compare both with your own floor and with published ranges for your size and format, and leave free product out of the cash.

Then check the terms that change what an offer is worth. Usage rights, especially paid ads such as whitelisting, Spark Ads and partnership ads, need a set term and their own line in the price; Later's 2026 guide puts paid-ad usage at a 30 to 50 percent add-on by convention. Exclusivity should be defined and paid for. Revisions should be capped at a set number of rounds. Payment terms are negotiable, so ask for net 30 or part up front, and get every term in one written agreement.

Benchmarks disagree, so use them to spot outliers rather than to set a price. In Collabstr's 2026 report, the average paid UGC collaboration on its marketplace was $154. Influencer Marketing Hub's 2026 planning ranges put a TikTok video at $50 to $200 for nano accounts and $200 to $800 for micro accounts, while Later's 2026 guide puts a post at $100 to $500 for nano and $500 to $2,500 for micro. Aurelia's free rate calculator gives a range built from your own followers, views and format.

The guide scores five fictional offers: a $75 first UGC video with vague usage, a canvas deal whose guaranteed base works out to $2 a video, a gifted video the brand wants to run as an ad indefinitely, a $600 two-video bundle with unlimited revisions and free exclusivity, and a clean $400 first paid offer worth accepting. It includes scripts to accept and confirm the terms, to counter by fixing the terms while keeping the fee, and to decline while keeping the door open.

Some offers fail before the math matters. Stop and verify if a brand wants money from you first, will only talk on WhatsApp or Telegram, asks for bank details or passwords by DM, wants you to post from a fake persona or a modified app, asks you not to disclose the partnership, or scripts claims you cannot make honestly. Aurelia is built to keep the riskiest of these out of your deals: brands never see your email, phone or street address while they review applicants, and your bank details go straight to Stripe.

On Aurelia, most of the scorecard is answered before you say yes. Brands post campaigns, and every campaign shows your take-home pay, the product, the usage rights and the deadline before you apply; the take-home you see already has Aurelia’s fee taken out. You own your content, paid ads need a stated term, and the agreement is written from the campaign, so you accept and sign in one step. A paid campaign goes live only after the brand has paid in its creator budget, and you're paid to your bank after the brand approves your work. Aurelia sets no follower minimum.
