Is SideShift Legit? What Pay-Per-Post Apps Actually Pay Creators (2026)
Is SideShift legit? Yes, but by its own numbers the median account pays $7 to $9 a video. Ratings, creator reports, and how Kale, Noise and Posted compare.
SideShift is a real app run by SideShift Corporation where brands post paid jobs and creators apply, mostly to make short videos posted on their own TikTok or Instagram. As of October 2026 it rates 4.81 from more than 29.7K App Store ratings but 1.8 from just 14 Trustpilot reviews, all one-star, on a profile the company has not claimed. The app is free to download, sells an optional Pro plan with unlimited applications whose price is not published, and advertises instant payouts to your bank once a brand approves your work, after identity checks.
By SideShift’s own homepage, the median account lands at $7 to $9 a video over the last 90 days, and the median job draws 284 applications in its first 48 hours. The large example payouts on the site are totals without video counts. At the median, earning $500 in a month takes 56 to 72 videos, or 28 to 36 hours if each video takes 30 minutes, an assumption you should replace with your own time. Your hourly rate is pay per video times 60, divided by the minutes each video takes.
Creator discussion is split. In a sample of about 1,500 recent r/UGCcreators post titles, SideShift appeared 42 times, which makes it one of the most-discussed platforms in the sample. Posts praising it sit alongside complaints about professionalism and a widely discussed report of a campaign listed at $1,000 a month for 150 videos that paid a $250 base after onboarding, about $1.67 a video. Trustpilot reviewers mention blocked withdrawals, fees and hard-to-reach support. These are unverified reports, so treat them as things to check before you rely on any app.
Kale, Noise and Posted work on the same idea. Kale says there is no follower minimum, that joining is free, and that its creators earned over $5 million in the past year, with more than 12,000 people earning monthly, which averages roughly $35 each. Noise, rated 4.75 from about 47.5K App Store ratings, allows faceless, voice-over and slideshow formats. Posted offers solo brand deals and contests to creators of any size. None of the three publishes a per-video rate in its App Store listing.
SideShift, Trybe, Billo and Noise are often compared, but they sell different jobs. On SideShift and Noise you usually post on your own account. On Billo you upload a video for the brand to use, need no following, and approved pay moves to Stripe within 3 days and reaches your bank every Monday. On Trybe, brands run your videos as paid ads on Meta and you earn commission tied to ad performance; as of October 2026 neither its App Store listing nor its website publishes a creator commission rate. Aurelia shows a set take-home on every campaign, with its 10% creator fee already taken out: a $400 campaign pays the creator $360.
Compared with per-deal pricing, the median is low. Collabstr’s 2026 report puts the average paid UGC collaboration at $154, about 17 to 22 median videos, and Influencer Marketing Hub plans $50 to $200 for one nano TikTok video. Pay-per-post apps suit students and side-hustlers who film fast and want simple jobs with no pitching. To use them safely, set a floor per video and per hour, screenshot job terms, verify only in the official app, never pay to get work or withdraw earnings, and disclose every paid post.
Aurelia, the creator campaign marketplace that publishes this guide, works per campaign instead of per post. Brands post campaigns and creators apply in a few taps, with their media kit, stats and answers attached. Every campaign shows the creator’s take-home pay, the product, the usage rights and the deadline before they apply, and the take-home shown already has Aurelia’s fee taken out. There is no follower minimum, applicants are ranked by fit with the brief rather than by follower count or speed, the agreement is written from the campaign, and creators are paid to their bank automatically when the brand approves their work.
