Influencer Marketing for Supplement and Wellness Brands: What Works, With Real Brand Examples
Influencer marketing for supplements through real brands: what AG1, Bloom, Liquid I.V., One A Day and Celsius did with creators, and what you can copy.
Influencer marketing for supplements works when creators show a product inside a real routine and the brand keeps working with the creators who fit. The supplement and wellness brands doing it well repeat four moves: they sell the routine, cast for fit before follower count, start wide and keep the best, and give creators both product knowledge and room to speak in their own voice. A first campaign needs five to ten creators, one product and one clear ask.
AG1, then called Athletic Greens, built its name on podcast host reads. In September 2022 its chief revenue officer told Marketing Brew it worked with hundreds of podcasters at any given moment and tried not to cancel partnerships, and Podscribe data ranked it the third-largest podcast advertiser by show count. Bloom Nutrition sends product to thousands of creators each month, from micro to macro, according to Entrepreneur UK, and lets them tell the story in their own voice. BeautyMatter reported Bloom in 7,000 retail doors across Target, Walmart and Sam’s Club in February 2024.
Liquid I.V. and its agency Tinuiti put ad money behind creators’ own TikTok posts with Spark Ads in 2021, and TikTok’s case study reports a 48% increase in return on ad spend from the second to the third quarter. Bayer’s One A Day, an established multivitamin, ran a TikTok dance challenge with seven creators for a 50-and-older audience. TikTok’s case study reports over 45 million impressions, a 27% increase in unaided brand awareness and an 8% increase in purchase intent.
Celsius is the comeback story. The brand dates back to 2004, repositioned from a weight-loss drink to a fitness lifestyle drink in 2012 and concentrated on the fitness community. BeverageDaily reported sales of $300 million in 2021, $653 million in 2022 and $1.3 billion in 2023. Seed and Needed take a different route: Glossy reported that both ask creators to complete a short course on the product before they partner, and Seed’s co-founder said tens of thousands of people have completed its course.
The formats that work for supplements show taste, routine, texture and how the product fits a day: “how I take it” routines, taste and mix tests, label walk-throughs, 30-day habit check-ins and subscription demos. Cast creators who already live the routine your product belongs to. In CreatorIQ’s 2025–2026 survey, brands ranked brand suitability first among selection factors and follower count last. Send a full-size product, a one-page primer and enough time for two weeks of real use before the draft is due.
For a first campaign with five to ten nano or micro creators, plan about $1,000 to $5,000 all in. Influencer Marketing Hub’s 2026 planning ranges put one TikTok video at $50 to $200 from a nano creator and $200 to $800 from a micro creator, and Collabstr’s 2026 report puts the average paid UGC collaboration on its marketplace at $154. Plan about six weeks from posting a campaign to approved videos, then a second round with the creators whose videos did best.
On Aurelia, a supplement brand posts one campaign and the agency work happens in software. Start from a Supplements and wellness template or drop in the brief you already have. The campaign goes live in the Aurelia creator marketplace, application questions screen creators, and Aurelia’s picks rank applicants by fit with the brief. Contracts are written from the campaign, product ships only to creators who have signed, drafts get comments at the exact second, and creators are paid once the brand approves their work. The workspace is free, with one platform fee added on top of the creator budget.
